In a video posted on Facebook on Thursday, the Prime Minister said due to “the difficult epidemic situation in Brussels,” the heads of state and government of Member States of the European Union will meet as part of a video conference. Before the video conference, a V4 summit will also be held.
“We have a single topic, a truly important topic, and that is the vaccine situation and the procurement of vaccines. Brussels agreed to procure vaccines for the Member States. If procurements are successful and swift, we will save a lot of lives; if they’re slow, we will lose a lot of lives,” Mr Orbán said.
He added that “therefore today we will talk about how to induce Brussels to procure more swiftly, more smoothly and more effectively the vaccines with which we – the prime ministers and governments of the Member States – can save lives”.
