Prime Minister holds talks with re-elected president of Hungarian Academy of Sciences

Bertalan Havasi, Press Chief of the Prime Minister, has told Hungarian news agency MTI that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and re-elected President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) László Lovász held talks on current science policy issues, as well as on the scientific capacities of universities and research institutes.

HUF 1,200 billion being allocated to research up to 2020

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has announced that up to 2020 the Government is planning to allocate some HUF 1,200 billion to research, development and innovation. As a result, Hungary’s research spending as a proportion of GDP will approximate to the EU average.
