“We regard the Czech Republic as a friend and a strategic partner”, Viktor Orbán underlined in the letter, highlighting: “The challenges of recent years, such as the global pandemic and increasing migration pressure, have highlighted the importance of close cooperation between the countries of Central Europe.
The Hungarian Prime Minister expressed his hope that he and his new Czech counterpart will succeed in further reinforcing the already outstanding bilateral relations between the two countries, and in expanding broad cooperation within the framework of the Visegrád Group (V4).
Viktor Orbán assured Petr Fiala that Hungary’s government is ready to enter into cooperation in the interests of a strong Europe based on strong member states, while placing at the forefront stability, competitiveness, and respect for values that are based on Christian tradition.
