“Hungary will continue to resist attempts to restrict or eliminate efforts aimed at preserving a homogeneous nation state, no matter their source”, György Bakondi said, adding that Hungary and Poland are “side-by-side” in the sights of the liberal, pro-immigration powers.
“This week, the European Parliament began discussing a proposal that could see the European Union financing civil society organisations that are actively working against the Hungarian Government as instruments of European values”, the Chief Security Advisor noted, adding: “This means that the EU that was established by nation states would have the power to attack those very nation states”.
Speaking later on Kossuth Radio’s “180 Minutes” program, Mr. Bakondi also spoke about the fact that illegal migration aimed at Europe is not subsiding and increasing numbers of people are succeeding in entering the EU via the Greek-Turkish border, which raises the question of whether Turkey is in fact protecting its borders as effectively as it undertook to do so in its agreement with the European Union.
