Viktor Orbán and Wolfgang Sobotka had talks about Hungarian-Austrian relations and EU integration of Balkans
In addition to reviewing the state of Hungarian-Austrian bilateral relations, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Wolfgang Sobotka, President of the Austrian National Council, also discussed the European integration of the Western Balkans region at a meeting held in Budapest on Thursday, Bertalan Havasi, the Deputy State Secretary heading the Press Office of the Prime Minister informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.
He said the Hungarian Prime Minister and the Austrian parliamentary speaker agreed that the cooperation of the Visegrád countries (V4) and Austria is excellent, and that they would like to continue to foster it.
In the context of the European integration of the Western Balkans countries, Mr Orbán and Mr Sobotka concluded that it is in the best interest of the whole of Europe, but in particular of Austria and Hungary.
Mr Havasi added that the V4 Group and Austria will hold a meeting in Budapest on 21 June.
