Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received Katalin Karikó

On Thursday morning in the Carmelite Monastery, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received research biologist-biochemist-patentee of the technology of synthetic mRNA-based vaccines Katalin Karikó, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.
Mr Orbán expressed his sincerest appreciation for Mrs Karikó’s research work.
During the informal meeting, they spoke about the scientist’s career, the development of mRNA-based vaccines, the international performance of Hungarian science and the importance of vaccination, the press chief reported.
