Prime Minister Viktor Orbán offered his condolences and Hungary’s assistance
Due to the floods in Germany claiming multiple lives and causing severe financial damage, in a message sent to Chancellor Angela Merkel, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán offered his condolences on behalf of the Hungarian people and solidarity with the families of the victims, Bertalan Havasi, the head of the Press Office of the Prime Minister informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Friday morning.
The Hungarian Prime Minister, he wrote, was shocked to learn about the catastrophe, and reassured the German Chancellor at the same time that Hungary is ready to provide assistance with all available means for the settlements concerned in order to relieve the damage caused by the natural disaster.
