Mr Orbán said the situation of the Ukraine-Russia war is “more than tragic”.
“We heard the French President and the German Chancellor who had talks with President Putin. We cannot rule out that clashes will be drawn out. We decided that Europe, too, will engage in the ceasefire talks,” Mr Orbán said.
“We said thank you to both the French President and the German Chancellor for attempting to make efforts in the interest of the restoration of peace,” the Prime Minister said relating proceedings of the meeting.
Mr Orbán said they also spoke about economic issues in Versailles.
“We have settled the most important issue in our favour; there won’t be sanctions extending to the area of oil and gas, meaning that Hungary’s energy supply will be guaranteed also during the period ahead,” the Prime Minister highlighted.
We have completed this job, we will continue in the morning, Mr Orbán said in conclusion.
