“Hungary and Bulgaria are linked together by historical friendship, a common cultural heritage and successful economic cooperation. It is much to my pleasure that in the past few years bilateral relations between our countries have developed steadily, and I regard their further intensification as a mutually advantageous interest,” Mr Orbán wrote to his Bulgarian counterpart.
He pointed out that also in the future we must pay special attention to solving the challenges facing Europe, the curbing of illegal immigration, and supporting the stability and integration aspirations of the Western Balkans countries.
“I am convinced that Europe’s success depends on the cooperation of allies that have a vested interest in strong nations and the strengthening of competitiveness,” the Hungarian Prime Minister wrote in conclusion.
