The meeting was held on the occasion that the European continent final of Bocuse d’Or, regarded as the world’s most prestigious gastronomic competition for chefs, will be held at the Hungexpo Congress and Exhibition Centre in Budapest on Wednesday and Thursday with the participation of the teams of seventeen nations, including Hungary.
In 2016, Budapest already had the opportunity to host the European final of the chef competition; at the time, Hungary led by Tamás Széll came first.
In the history of Bocuse d’Or Europe, Budapest is the first to host the final for a second time.
