He recalled that in September Hungary had taken part in the European skills championship, the EuroSkills Competition held in Graz this year for the seventh time. More than 400 young specialists from 31 countries participated in this year’s event; contestants compared their skills in 38 official and ten presentation disciplines. Hungary was represented by 26 contestants, and finished sixth in the rankings based on the number of medals won, the head of the Press Office of the Prime Minister said.
In Hungary within the school system, some thirty-one thousand students study the trades that constitute the “competition disciplines” of the EuroSkills Competition. Based on an agreement concluded with the government in 2010, the tasks related to the EuroSkills Competitions are performed by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
