Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to attend emergency EU summit in Brussels

On Thursday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will travel to Brussels where an emergency summit will be held for the European Union’s heads of state and government regarding the Russia-Ukraine crisis, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Wednesday.

President of the European Council Charles Michel convened the meeting for eight o’clock on Thursday evening.

In an invitation letter to the leaders, he wrote he would like them to discuss the latest developments in the crisis as well as how to protect the rules-based international order, how to deal with Russia, notably holding Russia accountable for its actions, and how to further support Ukraine and its people.
