Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has been invited to Dallas in Texas for 4 August in order to deliver an opening address at the world’s largest and most influential conservative event, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in the United States, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Monday.

CPAC is a right-wing political jamboree hosted by the American Conservative Union (ACU) which first took place in 1974; during its history of almost half a century, it has become the ACU’s most popular event attended by tens of thousands of conservatives.

Mr Orbán also delivered a speech at CPAC Hungary, the first CPAC conference held in Europe in May at the Bálna conference centre in Budapest where he outlined a recipe in 12 points for the success of the Right worldwide.
