Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to meet with Matteo Salvini and Mateusz Morawiecki on Thursday in Budapest
Prime Minister-President of Fidesz Viktor Orbán, leader of the Italian right-wing government party Lega Nord Matteo Salvini and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will attend a trilateral meeting on Thursday in Budapest, Bertalan Havasi, the Deputy State Secretary heading the Press Office of the Prime Minister stated, confirming Italian press reports to the Hungarian news agency MTI on Tuesday.
The agenda of the meeting will feature the proposed formation of a European-level political alliance between Lega Nord, the Law and Justice Party (PiS) led by Mateusz Morawiecki and Fidesz.
At the beginning of March, Matteo Salvini already consulted with Mr Orbán as part of a video conference, among others, about vaccination, economic recovery in the wake of the pandemic, migration and family policy.
