Hungary wants to strengthen its relations with Eastern countries

Speaking in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that while the balance between the East and the West has changed, Hungary does not see this new situation as a threat, but as a source of opportunities which it wants to use by building ever stronger relations with countries in the East.

On Tuesday Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary will travel to Kazakhstan where he will pay an official visit, following which, between 25 and 28 April, he will have talks in Beijing with Chinese leaders and will attend the second Belt and Road forum, Bertalan Havasi, the Deputy State Secretary heading the Press Office of the Prime Minister informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Saturday.

On Tuesday afternoon in the Parliament Building, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received the diplomatic leaders of the Central Asian countries who had taken part in a meeting of foreign ministers from the countries of the Visegrád Group (V4), Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, the Prime Minister’s Press Chief, Bertalan Havasi informed Hungarian news agency MTI.
