Bertalan Havasi, Minister of State heading the Prime Minister’s Press Office, has informed that on Monday afternoon in the Parliament building Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held talks with Chairman of the Gazprom Board of Directors Viktor Zubkov.

The meeting took place as part of a celebration which Budapest hosted to mark the twentieth anniversary of the Russian-Hungarian long-term gas contract.

During the meeting – which was also attended by Minister of National Development Miklós Seszták and Head of the Prime Minister’s Office János Lázár – several issues were discussed, including Hungary’s security of supply and the maintenance of affordable natural gas, for which long-term contracts are of special importance.
