Viktor Orbán and Hunor Kelemen discuss further funding for Hungarians in Romania

The Prime Minister’s Press Chief Bertalan Havasi has informed the kormany.hu government news portal that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Kelemen Hunor, President of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania, met in the Hungarian Parliament Building on Monday to discuss the current problems and challenges faced by the Hungarian community in Romania.
The main topic of the meeting was halting assimilation and preserving Hungarian identity.
In the statement, the Minister of State heading the Prime Minister’s Press Office said that Prime Minister Orbán and Mr. Kelemen reviewed projects related to the economy, education, culture and sport which aim to assist the lives of Hungarians in Romania, and which could be financed from Hungarian funding systems.
