Prime Minister Viktor Orbán discusses oil industry cooperation with Oman’s Minister of Oil and Gas

On Thursday afternoon Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhy, Minister of Gas and Oil of the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting was also attended by the Chief Executive Officer of MOL, Zsolt Hernádi.
The most important topic for discussion was the successful cooperation between Oman Oil Company S.A.O.C and the MOL Group, which has already existed for one decade.
The Hungarian company has been participating in the exploration of Oman’s mineral reserves since 2007, and in 2008 Oman’s state-owned oil company acquired a 7 per cent share in the MOL Group.
The strategic cooperation has opened up numerous opportunities for both parties.
