“The whole of the Hungarian community is given back a manifold return on each and every forint invested in education, culture, care for families, the needy, the poor, the elderly and the ill, or for that matter, in the building of the nation and helping Hungarian communities beyond the borders. In a great many areas where Church and State are each other’s partners today,” the Prime Minister said regarding funding provided for church institutions. Mr Orbán also said, quoting Reformed Church pastor, writer and poet Endre Gyökössy that “we have been granted Christian freedom […] in order to raise children as Homo Christianus,” as people committed to their faith, families, nation and fellow human beings.
